It is also known as Lacquered Glass, Painting Glass, or Spandrel Glass. In terms of craftsmanship, it is a type of printed glass. It is made from high-quality clear float glass or ultra-clear float glass, by depositing a layer of high-strength, durable, and corrosion-resistant paint on the smooth surface of the glass, and then carefully baked in a constant temperature furnace to permanently bond the paint to the glass.

Painted glass retains all the characteristics of the original float glass but also provides a wonderful opaque and colorful decorative application
